How This Fantasy Event Works
01
Build your team once
Select your squad before the event starts — 11 players for cricket or 15 for football, within a 100-credit budget. This is free and becomes your team for the whole event.
02
Get your transfer budget
Once your first team locks, you receive a transfer pool sized to the event — roughly 2.5–3 transfers per match across the whole tournament.
03
Transfer before each deadline
Adjust your squad anytime before a match's kickoff if you want changes to count for it. Your squad locks automatically once that match starts, and transfers reopen after it ends.
04
Follow real matches
Fantasy points are calculated automatically from real performances, based on whichever squad was locked at kickoff. Captain scores 2×, vice-captain 1.5×.
05
Climb the leaderboard
Total points across the event decide your rank — smart selection and well-timed transfers both matter.
Your first team is free — no transfers used. Once it's locked, you get a transfer budget for the rest of the event (roughly 2–3 per match, added up across every fixture). Use them whenever you want, in any combination — you don't have to spend them before every match. But each match has a deadline: changes only count if you make them before that match kicks off. Once it starts, your squad is locked for that match's scoring, and your transfer budget reopens right after for the next one.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is 2026 FIFA World Cup fantasy on XI League?
A free, skill-based fantasy game for the 2026 FIFA World Cup: build one squad, score points from real performances, and climb the season leaderboard for sponsor-funded rewards.
How does it work?
Build once → get a transfer budget → adjust before each match's kickoff → score from real play (captain 2×, VC 1.5×) → climb the leaderboard. The full 5-step guide is above.
Is it really free?
Yes — no entry fees, no deposits. Rewards are sponsor-funded. See why XI isn't gambling.
When do transfers lock?
At each match's kickoff. Spend your pool whenever you like — changes only count for a match if made before it starts; transfers reopen after.
How many transfers do I get?
40 for this tournament — and your first team build doesn't use any.
How is scoring calculated?
Automatically from real match performances — full rules on the scoring page.
Is this fantasy football or fantasy soccer?
Both — it's association football. The difference, explained.
